The work we do at Glasgow Sport focuses on improving the lives of the people of Glasgow. Participating in sport and exercise is a key element of a healthy lifestyle and it is our aim to make sure every citizen has the opportunity to experience this as part of their life. 

We have included some case studies of some of our work to show how the work we do impacts on the lives of Glaswegians. 

David Singleton   

David Singleton is a major success in Learning Disability Football.

Through the Sports Equalities Team weekly sessions, David attends a football session on a Monday with his school Hollybrook and is a very polite, charming young man who just loves to play football.

Benefits of Exercise - Eddie Smith

In 2002 Eddie Smith came to a Sports Equalities swimming session. That decision turned out to be the best decision he ever made. On the 6th September 2002 the Evening Times wrote an article on Eddie and the headline was “I DISCOVERED THAT MY LIFE IS FOR LIVING”​
