Our Annual Review and Annual Performance Report 2013/14 is a comprehensive assessment of the wide range of services we deliver on behalf of Glasgow City Council, for the benefit of citizens and visitors.
Across Glasgow, we are providing services which really make a difference to the lives of the people we serve. In the last year, we recorded a record 17.9 million individual attendances/uses of our services - up 300,000 on the previous year. It's been an incredible year. We have spent considerable time and effort to ensure that the Commonwealth Games are a huge success and staff from right across Glasgow Life have been at the heart of our efforts. While the Games are incredibly important, they are not an end point, but a marker on how far we have come and how much more we want to achieve for the citizens of, and visitors to, Glasgow.
At a local level, we continue to support individuals and communities - positively contributing to Glasgow City Council's Strategic Priorities.
None of this would have been achieved without the considerable strength of our partnerships - with both individuals and organisations - building on our commitment to make Glasgow a successful and world-class city.
We hope you will find the report both interesting and enjoyable.
