Director of Strategic Partnerships

Colin is responsible for the management of relationships and stakeholders, particularly in relation to major projects in order to maximise their contribution to building the city’s global reputation. He is also responsible for the delivery of some of Glasgow’s best-loved city events, including the Glasgow Mela, Merchant City Festival, World Pipe Band Championships and Glasgow Love Christmas.

Colin is also involved in maximising the benefits of significant stakeholder relationships around the European Championships 2018 and the refurbishment of both the Kelvin Hall and Burrell Collection.

In a 20-year career Colin has been a BBC journalist as well as a communication expert for the Labour Party, BAE Systems and Glasgow City Council.

Colin is a trustee of Partners for Inclusion, a charity which supports people to live the way they choose, whatever their background, and a director of the Glasgow Centre for Population Health.

In his spare time Colin bakes, rides BMX and follows his children around the house switching off lights.


Colin is a graduate of the University of Glasgow where he gained a MA (Hons) in Social Sciences.
