Due to the phenomenal success of the Riverside Museum and The Tall Ship and in response to visitor feedback, coach parking and a car park extension are to be provided at the Riverside.
Work will start the week beginning 11 June and take 4 to 6 weeks. It will not interfere with the normal operation of the museum or The Tall Ship.
The new vehicle parking will provide dedicated coach parking throughout the year for school, tourist and care groups and an additional 170 car spaces at peak visiting times and to support major events.
This brings the total number of car parking spaces to 500.
