Three free to attend Ceilidhs for all the family to enjoy, led by leading Celtic musicians are being held at local community centres over the next few weeks.
The Family Ceilidhs at Ruchill Community Centre on Saturday 25 February from 6pm, Calton Heritage & Learning Centre on Saturday 4 March from 7pm, and at Pollok Community Centre on Saturday 11 March from 4pm will be led by the Celine Donoghue Band.
The events will be a fun chance to learn and take part in some of the most popular Ceilidh dances and enjoy traditional Scottish music.
Celine and her band perform across Scotland and internationally. They also regularly take part in the Education Programme of leading annual music festival Celtic Connections by giving workshops in schools and community centres and playing at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
Councillor Archie Graham, OBE, Chair of Glasgow Life, said: “I’d encourage everyone to come along with family and friends to enjoy the fun. You can dance as little or as much as you want. Though with the great tunes and the encouraging welcome you’ll find at all of the community centres, I don’t think you’ll be sitting still for long!”
