The Venue

Darnley Community Centre is managed by Glasgow Life on behalf of Glasgow City Council, as a resource for the local community.  It was originally built in 1980 and was opened by Councillor James F Dunnachie.

Darnley Community Centre can be used for a variety of community, social and commercial activities, including but not restricted to meetings, small conferences, classes, clubs, arts and crafts, sports activities, dance classes, birthday parties, engagement parties, christening/communion receptions, slimming clubs and martial arts classes.  To make a booking enquiry, please call us on 0141 620 1120.

Darnley Community Centre also offers the use of four computers, all with internet access.  We also have a Games Hall, which is marked out for netball, basketball and badminton.

Experienced staff are always on hand to assist with any special requirements.

Please note that in accordance with Government Policy, smoking is not permitted in Darnley Community Centre or our surrounding grounds.

Minimum Let duration is 1 hour.  Lets for part of an hour will be charged at the hourly rate.  Please note that all rooms are wheelchair accessible.

Free access to the kitchen with booking, to make tea/coffee or to warm up pre-prepared food.  Must bring own supplies.


Parking and Public Transport

There is a car park at Darnley Community Centre, providing free off-street parking.  There is also free on-street parking in the immediate area.​​​​  

Kennishead Road and Nitshill Road are both located nearby with good public transport links, making the centre easily accessible by bus.  Priesthill and Darnley Train Station is also within walking distance of the Community Centre.
