The Venue

Balgrayhill Community Centre is managed by Glasgow Life on behalf of Glasgow City Council as a resource for the local community. It was originally built on 3rd December 1988 and opened by Lord Provost Susan Baird.  

Balgrayhill Community Centre can be hired for a variety of community, social and commercial activities, including but not restricted to meetings, small conferences, classes, clubs, arts and crafts, sports activities, dance classes, birthday parties, engagement parties, christening/communion receptions, slimming clubs and martial arts classes.  To make a booking enquiry, please call us on 0141 557 0475.

Experienced staff are on hand to assist with any special requirements.

Please note that in accordance with Government policy, smoking is not permitted in Balgrayhill Community Centre, or our surrounding grounds.

Minimum Let is 1 hour.  Lets for part of an hour will be charged at the hourly rate.  
*Please note that only the Lesser Hall and the Main Hall are wheelchair accessible, as Room 1 and Room 3 are located on the upper floor.

Free access to the kitchen with booking, to make tea/coffee or to warm up pre-prepared food.  Must bring own supplies.

Parking and Public Transport

There is no car park at Balgrayhill Community Centre, however, there is free on-street parking nearby.

The centre is located on Balgrayhill Road, which has good transport links, making the centre easily accessible by bus.  There is a bus stop immediately outside the community centre.  Springburn Train station is also located nearby and is approximately a 10 minute walk from the community centre.
