Our Volunteer Stories

Good Move Recommends
It can be great fun getting active, but we know how hard it can be to get started, especially if you’ve never done it before. Good Move is here to help.

At Good Move we are thrilled to work with so many amazing volunteers. Every week people from all walks of life generously give up their time to lead and support activities across the city through a range of diverse volunteering opportunities.

You can read some of our volunteers' stories by clicking on the links on the right.

We understand lives can be busy - balancing family, work and study it can be tricky to commit to a regular activity that’s why we developed our flexible Motivator role! Volunteer Motivators are people like you who know first-hand the benefits of being active and want to help others access activities in their local area. You can volunteer at a time and place that suits you.

Whether it’s leading a Health Walk, motivating people to get active or promoting activities at an event, our volunteers are helping individuals get active and contributing to a Healthier and Happier Glasgow!
