National Road Race Championships

The National Road Race Championships is the biggest single day road race on the British calendar.

In 2013, for the first time in its history, the National Road Race Championships will take place in the centre of Glasgow with much of the racing taking part in the heart of the city, utilising part of the proposed course for the 2014 Commonwealth Games and providing a spectacular setting for the racing.

The 14km race circuit starts and finishes in Glasgow Green.  Both the men’s and women’s races take place on Sunday 23rd June with the women covering a total distance of 112km and the men a distance of 182km.

The 2012 titles were won in Ampleforth, Yorkshire, by Ian Stannard (Team Sky) and Sharon Laws (AA drink Watch the TV highlights below from the 2012 National Road Race Championships.
