Gutter calls for submissions in Gaelic

Gutter magazine profiles new, high quality Gaelic writing.

Gutter, the magazine of new Scottish writing, is now accepting submissions in Gaelic for its ninth issue. Gutter has always been a magazine where creative prose and poetry can push boundaries, explore new directions, and highlight the ways in which different languages and cultures interact. The writing featured in Gutter is predominantly in Scots and English, but has also included work in German, Arabic and Gaelic with an English translation.

For Issue 09, due out in August 2013, Gutter encourages submissions in Gaelic. The guidelines for Gaelic submissions are to email with:

Gaelic writing along with an English translation

2000 words maximum of prose

80 lines maximum of poetry

Deadline of 30th April 2013.

Gutter is distributed throughout Scotland, the UK, and the world. It has formed an international community of readers and writers who care about new Scottish creative writing in the broadest sense. Gutter looks forward to making Gaelic writing part of that global conversation.
