Gaelic at Aye Write!

Aye Write! Glasgow’s Book Festival is back from the 9-19 March for another bumper year and has a stand out Gaelic programme of poetry, literature and song.

Come along and hear some of the future stars of Gaelic literature in conversation about their work and influences at the new Gaelic Writers Showcase. Award-winning novelist, poet, journalist and actor Angus Peter Campbell will be in conversation with novelist, journalist and travel writer Maureen Macleod about their travelogues. Major contemporary Gaelic poet Aonghas MacNeacail and musician-poet MacGillivray present poems, film and song in Gaelic and English. Peter Mackay & Iain Macpherson explore 500 years of Gaelic Love Poetry with new English translations. There is also conversation and song in the company of the author Catriona Murray, Margaret MacLeod and Ishbel Murray at Le Mùirn (with affection).
