Piping Live! 2012 is celebrating the heritage of piping and language this year with a number of events that have a distinct Gaelic language focus,with both Scottish and Irish Gaelic represented. The evening concerts cement this focus with the Opening Night Concert featuring the John McSherry Band and Michael McGoldrick and the flagship event Òrain nam Pìobairean featuring Kathleen MacInnes and Friends and Breabach, as well as Blazin’ Fiddles and the Vatersay Boys headlining two other evenings. Throughout the rest of the week there are Gaelic Conversation Cafés, bilingual Museum Tours and masterclass workshops and Gaelic language and song will be a part of our Family Fun Day activities.
