A new collection of health related books in
Glasgow Libraries' Health Matters is a special collection of material aimed at helping people to get on top of a wide range of health related problems by providing access to some of the best self-help information available.
The collections include books, leaflets, CDs and DVDs. Some of the materials are also available in languages other than English.
All of the material has been chosen because people who have used it before found it helpful and has been recommended by experienced health practitioners.
The collection covers these topics:
- Eating problems
- Chronic fatigue
- Sleep problems
- Post traumatic stress disorder
- Obsessive compulsive disorder
...and many more
These collections are available in all libraries in the North side of the city (you can find details of these libraries on our Related Links section on this page). Why not drop into your local library and find out more. Ask the staff to show you the collection or just look for the Health Matters section on your next visit.

We are delighted to announce some additions to our Health Matters collection in the form of these Mood-Boosting books developed in association with The Reading Agency and BBC Headroom. Aimed at adults, particularly those who suffer from stress, anxiety and depression, the books are mainly fiction, with some non-fiction and poetry also included.
You will find them alongside our existing Health Matters collections in libraries in the North of the city.
