Library Activities for Children Aged 5-12
Glasgow Libraries have a variety of events and services for young people and here you can find details of those specifically designed for children aged 5-12.
All of our libraries stock books and DVDs specifically for young people and each library has its own Children's area with dedicated computers for young people to enjoy alongside books and graphic novels.

After School Library Clubs
Our weekly Library Clubs offer a range of book-related arts and crafts and computer activities in all our libraries.
For children aged 8-12, Chatterbooks Groups are just what they sound like: we read books and we chatter about them! Enjoy special events like author or illustrator visits, storytelling or computer activities. Join us at
Cardonald Library,
Hillhead Library or
Leisure and Lifestyle at The Mitchell Library.
Homework Clubs – The Learning Post
Suitable for Primary 5-7 pupils, our homework tutors help children find information for school and project work using books, CD-ROMs and the Internet. After the hard work's done, there’s time for stories, crafts and lots more. So why not join us today?
5-8 year olds can listen to and participate in fun weekly story sessions. Enjoy poems, pop-up books and lots of fantastic stories from the very best authors.
