Space Hop Summer Reading Challenge

Get ready for lift off at all Glasgow Libraries this summer

Space Hop is the 2010 national Summer Reading Challenge in libraries.

With 725,000 children aged 4-11 taking part, the Summer Reading Challenge is the biggest national reading initiative. It runs in libraries throughout the summer holidays, with prizes and a range of free activities and events designed to create a real buzz around children's reading. The challenge is simple - to read six or more library books over the summer. The more books you read the more prizes you can win.

Space Hop ‘lifts off’ in all Glasgow libraries on Monday 28th June and our friendly library staff will be delighted to show you how it all works. So drop in to your local library from 28th June onwards to make sure you’re part of this years’ Space Hop summer reading challenge.

"The Challenge has really helped my children turn the corner in their reading- from it being a chore to being a pleasure. It has made a huge difference to all our lives!" Parent of 8 year old
