How do we ensure confidentiality?

During each visit to our drop-in centres our volunteers will record demographic information only from which an individual cannot be identified.  

When a person uses our services on more than one occasion our volunteers will ask if that person is willing to be contacted at a later date (where appropriate) to help us improve/evaluate our services.  If that person is agreeable the volunteer will complete the relevant paperwork provided for this purpose asking the service user to sign the form to give their consent.  This information is not held digitally, but paper files are held securely within each service and transported to the programme head office at The Mitchell Library in line with Glasgow Life’s information security policies and procedures.
