We recognise that busy Health & Social Care professionals in many different roles will come into contact with people affected by cancer on a regular basis.
The Macmillan @ Glasgow Libraries services are designed to complement existing health & social care services and to help connect both patients and carers with the right services and support at the right time. These pages provide some more detailed information about how our services work in practice, and aim to answer any questions that you may have.
How to access these services?
Glasgow Libraries staff and volunteers provide people interested in accessing the service with an information leaflet published by Cancer Support Scotland which details the services on offer and signpost interested parties to the Cancer Support Scotland telephone number on the leaflet to arrange an appointment. All subsequent contact regarding appointments will be between the service user and Cancer Support Scotland.
Service users can access both Talking Therapy and Complementary Therapy. The number of Complementary Therapies is not affected by the client having Talking Therapy.
