New! Scran online learning resource is now available at Bridgeton Library. Find out about the history of your local area, its notable people, World War I and more. Just ask staff for a password.






A brand new library for the residents of Bridgeton in an iconic, newly refurbished building. Offering a wide range of services and activities in unique surroundings, including: 

  • 32 PCs with FREE Internet access
  • FREE WiFi and a laptop bar
  • 'Times Past' Cafe
  • an Arts and Heritage events programme 
  • a dedicated Early Years activity programme
Please note that computers are switched off 15 minutes prior to each library closing time.​​

Glasgow Kidz Card and Young Scot Card

You can apply for a Glasgow Kidz Card and Young Scot Card at Bridgeton Library!

With the Glasgow Kidz Card anyone aged 5 to 11, living or attending school within the Glasgow City Council boundary, can obtain the card free of charge and enjoy discounts around Glasgow including free swimming, films and more.  Click here for more information.

The Young Scot Card is free for all 12 to 18 year olds living or attending school in the city, and gives you access to tons of special offers, discounts and services. Click here for more information. 

The Macmillan Cancer Information Point

If you're affected by cancer you may want to know there's someone you can turn to for help. Someone who can help find answers to your questions, whatever they may be. 

The Macmillan information point will provide you with information you need on living with all aspects of cancer as well as signposting you to the nearest Macmillan @ Glasgow Libraries drop in centre. ​

Law & Employability Advice Outreach Service

We are also working with the Govan Law Centre and Jobs and Busines Glasgow to offer a free and confidential advice service within the library by appointment only.  For more info on this service or to book an appointment please call the library direct today.
