Hillhead Library offers a wide range of services and activities in relaxing, comfortable and inspiring surroundings. Our friendly staff will always be on hand to help you get the most out of your visits.   We also have a selection of community rooms available for hire within the library. See the table at the bottom of this page for more details on the rooms available.

Glasgow Kidz Card and Young Scot Card


You can apply for a Glasgow Kidz Card and Young Scot Card at Hillhead Library!


With the Glasgow Kidz Card anyone aged 5 to 11, living or attending school within the Glasgow City Council boundary, can obtain the card free of charge and enjoy discounts around Glasgow including free swimming, films and more.  Click here for more information.


The Young Scot Card is free for all 12 to 18 year olds living or attending school in the city, and gives you access to a range of special offers, discounts and services. Click here for more information. 


The Macmillan Cancer Information And Support Service

​​If you're affected by Cancer you want to know that there's someone you can turn to for help. Someone who can help find the answers to your questions, whatever they may be. 


If you live in Glasgow and want to find information, support and practical help or would just like someone to talk to, come along to the Macmillan Information and Support Service​ ​at Hillhead Library​​​​. You can talk through issues and concerns with our staff and trained volunteers.​​

      Rooms can be hired at the rates above during normal opening times. It may be possible to hire rooms outwith these hours at an additional cost to cover staffing.

      Please note: 
      We are unable to offer facilities for food preparation or storage.

      The rooms for hire are not wheelchair accessible as they are located on the first floor and accessible only by staircase.
