Annual Art Competition

Annual Art Competition

Our Annual Art Competition has been running since 1904 and continues to be a popular event in Glasgow Museums’ calendar. The competition is open to children and young people aged 3 to 18 who can visit any one of our museums to draw or paint. The subject choice is left to the children – they can draw something on display, or a detail of the museum building itself. Most entries are submitted between January and the end of May each year, with judging taking place in June.

The 2017 competition is now closed. Judging will took place on the 2 June 2017.

If you would like to take part with your nursery or school group, please call 0141 276 9505 / 9506.
Families can also take part. You’ll need to bring along your own drawing materials. Before you hand in your entry it is essential to write the child’s name, stage, school and the parent’s contact details on the back. Some of the museums have ready prepared labels for this purpose.
