A green-fingered project by a group of Adult Learners from Leverndale Hospital has resulted in the creation of a beautiful plant-filled boat.
The Ark was inspired by works of art from Glasgow Museums' collections. The Ark was on tour around venues in Glasgow throughout the summer of 2010.
It was displayed at Glasgow Museums Resource Centre in June, then the People's Palace Winter Gardens in August, and The Hidden Gardens at Tramway throughout September.
We've produced a beautiful book all about the Gardener's Ark which you can look at here
The Ark is now on display on the roundabout in the grounds of Leverndale Hospital.
The Ark is just one part of a two year project by the Adult Learners. They have also produced art, creative writing and gardening advice throughout the project.
Have a look at our book - available online - to find out more about this work, and to see some of the results.
