We organise and collaborate in a wide range of projects locally, nationally and internationally.
Research projects help us learn more about our collections, and about the time and place the objects in the collections came from.
We often collaborate with a wide range of people and organisations. These include museums and academic institutions around the world. This helps raise Glasgow’s cultural profile internationally.
Our projects can involve conservation – from restoration of individual objects, through to complete refurbishment and new build of museums.
Community projects are often developed with local groups. This creates many ways for people to discover our collections. And it enables them to get involved in the museums’ displays and exhibitions.
Many of our projects are accompanied by public programmes or exhibitions. This helps you find out more about what we do first hand.
