1970s' Glasgow: Through the Lens is a new book from Glasgow Museums featuring 84 photos from photographic surveys taken during that decade. It covers areas including:
the Barras, and
the Fish and Meat Markets around the city centre
The book is aimed at adult readers who are curious about the history of Glasgow and how it has changed since the 1970s. Fully illustrated in black and white throughout.
About the authors
Fiona Hayes is the Curator of Social History, based at the People's Palace on Glasgow Green.
Keith Ingham is one of the photographers whose work features in the book and accompanying exhibition at Scotland Street School. The exhibition is free to enter and runs until January 2012.
