The Burrell has several ongoing programmes, and also hosts one-off events and courses.
FREE Talks and tours
There is a series of weekly talks, every Wednesday, given by curators and other museum staff. These Curator's Favourites talks give an expert insight into specific objects at the Burrell.
The museum also hosts Themed Tours given by our dedicated team of Volunteer Guides, as they focus on different aspects of our collection. We also offer daily guided tours that can bring fresh understanding to even the most seasoned visitor. The tours are free, and there are two scheduled each day; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The Burrell Guides are trained volunteers.
In addition, we run monthly Walking Tours for all ages, and monthly Adult Art Workshops.
Family activities
Our regular sessions are:
Wee Wednesdays for pre-5s on the first Wednesday of every month
(please note January's session is on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 11 January)
Burrell for Families - regular afternoon sessions for families with children
Family Films - free film screenings on the second Sunday of every month
