Frequently Asked Questions About GoMA

Visitor to GoMA

The Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) is the most visited modern art gallery in Scotland.

It is housed in an iconic building in the heart of Glasgow.

The building was originally a country home (hard to believe when it's now in the heart of the city!). It was built in 1775 for one of the city's 'Tobacco Lords'. Latterly it was Stirling's Library before becoming GoMA.

Please ask a member of staff for our GoMA History Sheet.
