Kelvingrove Refurbishment Appeal Trust (KRA)

Kelvingrove Refurbishment Appeal Trust (KRA)

Chaired by Lord Macfarlane of Bearsden KT, the KRA was originally charged with raising £5 million towards the refurbishment. It surpassed this hugely by raising £12.75 million.

The KRA enlisted the support of some of the country’s leading business people as trustees. And it raised substantial sums from companies, trusts and foundations.

Reflecting the unique role of Kelvingrove in the life of the city, over 5,000 individuals also made donations.

Some of these were in memory of friends or relatives, and all the names can be seen on the Donor and In Memoriam walls within Kelvingrove. They are also listed on this website on the Donor Wall and In Memoriam section.
