The building was built with internal drainpipes. This is a design feature that adds to the aesthetics of the building.
To inspect and carry out maintenance on the drainpipes, small closed-circuit television cameras were used.
They allowed the contractors to inspect the pipes, clean accumulated dirt, and to insert a protective liner to prevent any leakage of water.
