Her Majesty the Queen performed the official reopening of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on Wednesday 13 September 2006.
Her Majesty spent three hours touring the building, meeting staff and viewing many of the objects on display.
From the reopening on 11 July 2006 to the royal opening, nearly 1,000,000 people visited the museum.
The Queen toured Kelvingrove with Bridget McConnell, Executive Director
of Cultural and Leisure Services.
The Duke of Edinburgh accompanied the
Queen, and spent time touring the ground floor.
