Animals and plants are very diverse and come in all shapes and sizes.
This story looks at the animals and plants in the collection that break a record of some kind.
This ranges from the tallest land mammal (the giraffe) to the smallest British mammal (the pygmy shrew).
There is also a display on the fastest and slowest animals. And on some of the more unusual records, such as:
