The Essence of Beauty: 500 Years of Italian Art was at Kelvingrove from 6 April - 12 August 2012.
The exhibition featured undisputed masterpieces painted by some of the greatest names of Italian Renaissance and Baroque painting, including:
- Signorelli
- Bellini
- Titian
- Domenichino
- Rosa
- Guardi
The exhibition demonstrated the remarkable chronological range of Glasgow's world-renowned Italian Art collection, spanning 500 years, from the late 14th century to the 19th century.
