2010 celebrates the 400th anniversary of glassmaking in Scotland. We mark this anniversary with a unique exhibition of over 70 beautiful glass pieces drawn from Glasgow Museums' extensive collection.
Showcasing works by key manufacturers and artists working in Scotland from the early 18th century to the present day, it includes:
The display also includes a variety of the glass items most readily associated with the later twentieth century Scottish glass industry: paperweights.
Scottish Glass is a long-term display that will be open until summer 2012. The display can be found in Kelvignrove's Glasgow Style and Charles Rennie Mackintosh Gallery.
