My Knitting and Sewing Days

Knitting takes me back to my childhood days when I was in the brownies I learned to knit face cloths and of course my mum came to the rescue especially when I dropped a stitch or had a big hole in the middle. We all had to do something special for our sale of work so I knitted egg cosies and my dad made cards to pin them on to as your parents were allowed to help.

As the years went by I tried my hand at a few things embroidery was one crotchet another I have knitted a lot throughout the years quite a few different designs my best was the cable stitch. Then after my children were all at school I bought a knitting machine and knitted jumpers, cardigans, and loads of Doctor Who scarves I had lots of requests for them the longer the better. Nowadays I don’t do any of those things I seem to think I am better at writing stories.
