Local History and Archaeology of West Central Scotland
The Regional Framework for Local History and Archaeology was a partnership involving eight local authorities, led by Glasgow Museums.
As part of this project, essays exploring the history and archaeology of the Regional Project area were commissioned. Each essay examines either a particular time period of a specific topic. Together they provide a good introduction to what is known about the area and highlight the possiblities for future research.
The first of these essays is Designed Landscapes by Christopher Dingwall, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Research Advisor to the Garden Society in Scotland.
Further essays will be posted on this website.
