Glasgow Warriors launch 'Always A Warrior' campaign

24/11/2016
Ahead of tomorrow's home game against the Ospreys, Glasgow Warriors have launched a supporter education campaign, which will initially focus on the use of public transport to and from matches at Scotstoun.

As part of the 'Always a Warrior' campaign there will be digital, social media and in-stadium content on matchdays, including a series of short videos, the first of which will focus on just how easy it is to get to Warriors matches by train.

In the first video Glasgow Warriors players Stuart Hogg, Finn Russell and Henry Pyrgos are seen working on a train carrying supporters to Scotstounhill Station for a Glasgow Warriors match.

One of the club's new official sponsors, Story Contracting, will be supporting the campaign to promote rail travel on matchdays.

Story Contracting have recently been awarded a five-year contract with Network Rail to upgrade a number of stations to improve disabled access. Glasgow Warriors will be utilising expertise to work towards improvements to Scotstounhill Station.

Glasgow Warriors managing director Nathan Bombrys said: "This new campaign is an exciting initiative which will cover a number of different themes, starting with the use of public transport on matchdays.

"We will be promoting the use of public transport to and from our home games and educating supporters around where they can and can't park around the stadium.

"Our partners at Scotstoun, Glasgow Life and Glasgow City Council, have been really supportive of what we're doing and we appreciate the co-operation we've had from Abellio ScotRail in filming the video.

"We want to be good neighbours and this campaign is designed to help us communicate key messages to our supporters.

"The campaign embraces our supporters as an extension of the club and they have a key role to play as we continue to grow."
