2016 Glasgow European Judo Open tickets on sale now!

European Judo Open returns to Emirates Arena this October!
This year’s event will be held on 15 October 2016 and will feature both male and female competitors on the same day for the first time in the event’s four year history.

The event will see Britain’s stars of judo compete in a strong field of international competitors shortly after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and presents an early opportunity for younger athletes to break through the ranks at the start of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic cycle.

Young Scottish judo star, Stuart McWatt, enthralled the home crowd at last year’s event, claiming a bronze medal in 2015.

18 year-old McWatt has his eyes set on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, but sees the Glasgow European Open as a stepping stone to future senior success: “It was great to get my first senior medal in Scotland. As a junior, it’s not a focus for me to compete at senior level at the moment so it was good to compete and perform at that level. I’m hoping to get selection again and will be looking to perform again in front of a big crowd.”

For the first time at the Glasgow European Open, ticket holders who purchase tickets before 31st June will be entered into a prize draw to win the ultimate judo experience, including; the ‘best seat in the house’ on a mat-side sofa for you and three guests, and exclusive event merchandise!

Simply book your tickets before July 31st to be automatically entered into the draw.
