Donors

Glasgow Life has been focusing on fostering a 'culture of giving' for users of our services.  Specifically donation boxes have been rolled out across 9 museum venues and the Mitchell Library.  These boxes are situated in areas of the museum with high traffic flows and suggest a minimum donation.  Donors are also encouraged to gift aid donations with the addition of Gift Aid forms attached to the boxes.

Donation boxes continue to be an extremely important form of revenue fundraising for the Museum Service, with approximately £250,000 donated in 2009/10, an increase of 2% on the previous year.
