Queen's Baton Relay is nearly in Glasgow!
 

The Route

20 - 22 JULY 2014 – the Queen’s Baton Relay will journey all across the Host City, reaching local communities and landmarks in the final countdown to the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony on 23 July 2014.

Download your supporters pack  today and line the streets to cheer on the baton as it makes its final journey! Glasgow’s streets will be alive with the sound of live bands, drummers and choirs en route. Dancers, street performers and community-led celebrations will also animate the streets. So definitely not one to be missed!

Special Start Line Events will kick each day off. So if you are an early bird, be sure to join in the fun at the People’s Palace (20 July)@ 7am, the Riverside Museum (21 July)@ 6:45 and Carmunnock (22 July) @7am. Come and cheer on your local champions at the start line! Please not parking is available at the Riverside Museum.


Finish Line Events

Finish Line Events* will take place each day at Springburn Park (20 June), Victoria Park (21 June), and Queen’s Park Recreational Ground (22 June). 

From 3.30pm – 7.30pm each evening (gates close at 6.15pm) there will be fantastic entertainment and activities for all the family.  To get you in the mood for the sporting action, we will have lots of come-and-try sports activities. And if you’re more at home with a pot of paint than a running race, don’t worry!  There is going to be arts and crafts for all you creative souls! There will be roving street theatre, storytelling and funfair attraction in the parks as well. And each day will have a unique line up of live music and dance on the main stage to get you guys shaking a tail feather or two! (See the timetables below for details).
