WHAT IS GLASGOW SPORT DEVELOPING SUSTAINABLE SPORTS CLUBS PROGRAMME?

This intensive business planning programme is an opportunity for sports clubs and sports organisations (i.e the GAA) across Glasgow as a Legacy of the 2014 Commonwealth Games to develop and grow successful and sustainable businesses. It is a practical programme and clubs will use the time to enhance there core business knowledge and learn about tools and skills to help them to develop and sustain a thriving sports club.
 
DURING THE PROGRAMME CLUBS WILL:
  • Deepen understanding of key concepts involved in leading a successful sports club
  • Strengthen their core knowledge of business development tools and leadership abilities for effective strategies in sustainable development
  • Create a dynamic and workable business plan to help them action there organisations’ growth
  • Learn collaboratively with other sports clubs at similar stages of development 

WHO IS THE PROGRAMME AIMED AT?

This programme is designed for key individuals running sports clubs across Glasgow and supported by development officers working for Glasgow Sport. Learners will be interested in developing alternative income strategies to achieve self sustainability and growth within the sector.

PROGRAMME DETAILS

DURATION: 6 days (Club representative must attend all 6 days)
TIME: 10am - 4pm
LOCATION: Glasgow City Centre TBC
PRICE: No cost (With the support of Glasgow Sport and Scottish Government, this programme is fully funded.)
