Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run - 4th oct 2015

 

The Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run is a great event organised by NOVA International where anyone can take part to run for charity or just for fun!  There are options to run either the 10K or the Half Marathon, so whether you want to ease into it or to really challenge yourself there's something for you!

In preparation for the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run 10K, we offer some great courses to help you get ready for the event!  Whether you are a complete beginner, or returning to running after a break we have something on offer for you!  Have a look at our courses below and feel free to give us a call for more infomation on 0141 287 8931.

Beginners

Have you been wanting to get out running but anxious of doing it alone? Our great beginners courses are for people who have no running experience but are wanting to get out there and give it a go! These courses begin with alternating approximately three minutes jogging/three minutes walking and will increase in running time and distance over the 12 week period up to the 10k distance. It's a great way to ease yourself in and build up your fitness levels to get ready for the race, meet some new people with a similar level of experience, plus you have the benefit of our helpful and friendly coaches to help you all the way!

If you have been running regularly or you have previously participated in one of our beginners' courses and have maintained a basic fitness level these courses will be too basic for you. In this case, we would recommend our refreshers course or network sessions. Have a look below for some more information.  

Refreshers

Our refreshers courses are designed for those of you who have done a bit of running or are able to run for approximately 15-20 minutes without stopping, but don't feel that you're ready to take on the challenge of a 10K on your own.

 

These courses are ideal if you have previously participated in one of our 10k beginners courses and want to increase your mileage back up to the 10k distance.

Regular Runners 

If you can already run 3 miles without stopping you can join any of our regular network sessions which will help prepare you for the 10k. Have a look at our page with Network information here, to find a session that suits you. ​​​​​​​
