Glasgow Goes for Gold
The City of Glasgow Gymnastics Club continued their dominance of the Scottish gymnastics scene with a fantastic weekend at the national championships in Perth.
It was a record-breaking year for the club with them winning more medals than ever before and more than any other club in Scotland.

Amy Regan, as well as being national champion in the all around, floor and vault also won beam and bars for the first time.

Cara Kennedy went from 3rd in all around competition last year to champion this year. She also improved her position on beam (champion) and bars (silver) from last year’s event. Not forgetting that Glasgow won the team championship for the 3rd year running.
Douglas Ross made his debut in senior competition after winning gold at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games, finishing in an impressive silver place. Kelvin Cham also improved from last year on all his positions.
These results have helped the club to solidify their position as being the best club in Scotland and with more talent coming through each year due to the dedication of the committee, coaches and Sports Development Team the future is bright for Scotland’s premier gymnastics club.
