How am I doing?
To ensure you know just how well your child is doing each gymnast will receive a ‘How am I doing?’ card. This will detail the skills required for each level of gymnastics.
It will be updated at the end of each block with your child’s achievements and will be used for rebooking if they remain in the same class. If your child moves up to the next class they will receive a new card.
It is essential you keep your child’s card safe as it is required for rebooking. If you happen to misplace it you’ll be able to get another from reception for a small charge.
Cubs Pre-School Gymnastics
These classes are for pre-school children between the ages of 18 months to 3 years and 3 years to 5 years. The classes are well structured and focus on key areas of Actions, Coordination, Balance and Education. Classes include songs and music as well as free play with small toys and apparatus and lots of climbing fun on the large apparatus.
In the Cub’s 18 months to 3 years class parents stay with their children and engage in lots of fun activities with each other.
The Cubs 3 years to 5 years class is an independent child class where the children participate with the class coaches. Each child will be provided with an attendance card, each time your child attends a class they will receive a sticker on their card. After 10 weeks attendance your child will receive a free prize.
The recreational gymnastics programme will now be skill based. Gymnasts attending the classes will have to achieve a pass at one level before moving on to the next. Each class has its own logo and when a child passes at one level and is ready to move to the next they will be able to purchase a badge and certificate to record their achievement.
Assessment days will be available for children who are new to the programme throughout school holidays and at the beginning of each new block. To arrange an assessment you should contact the Gymnastics team.
