Temporary Relocations

Providing affordable and accessible ways to play tennis in Glasgow is a priority for us, and we continue to recognise the vital role tennis participation plays in improving the health and well being of people who work and live in the city. We are very proud of our recent facility developments in a number of our public parks and our indoor venues and we will continue to work closely with our partners to improve more public tennis courts in Glasgow. The developments include resurfacing of Scotstoun indoor tennis courts and resurfacing of Scotstoun and Kelvingrove outdoor tennis courts.

As a result of these works, the tennis facilities at both Scotstoun and Kelvingrove will be unavailable for use with Kelvingrove re-opening on Monday 29th September and Scotstoun re-opening for casual use from Thursday 16th October. Until these dates, programme relocations are in place. You can find more information on relocated programmes by clicking the link to your local venue on this page.

Following the Commonwealth Games, we have been and continue to, work hard hard to get all of our facilities back up and running as soon as possible. The reinstatement of Court 1 at the Gorbals will be part of this provess. At this time, one of our four courts will continue to be used as a temporary Super Gym until the festive period in late December 2014, when we will then begin the process to re-evaluate the situation with all our relevant partners.

We will continue to keep our members informed of any further developments by updating the information on our website and at information points within the venue as and when it becomes available.
