Past Events

Patrons of Glasgow Museums are invited to a calendar of events throughout the year.  These events help our Patrons to build a closer relationship with our museums' teams and give us the opportunity to show them what happens behind the scenes.  Here are just some of the events that our Patrons have attended.

Curator talk and tour of Riverside Museum

The Riverside Museum is home to over 3,000 objects that show Glasgow’s rich history from its days as a maritime powerhouse to a glimpse into daily Glasgow life in the early to mid-20th Century.  The Museum makes use of up to date technology and new ways of displaying objects to ensure that visitors get the most out of their visit.

This event included an after-hours tour of the popular Glasgow Street displays from three of our knowledgable curators.  Guests were also treated to drinks and canapes in the Mitre bar.

Tour of the Burrell Stores
