Did you know that, if you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your donation?

Gift Aid is a Government funded scheme which enables UK taxpayers to increase the value of their donation by 25%.

This means that for every £1 that you give, Glasgow Life can reclaim an additional 25p from the Government.

All you have to do is fill in a Gift Aid Declaration Form and state that you are happy for Glasgow Life to reclaim the tax on your behalf.

All your donations will qualify for Gift Aid whether you are a regular or higher rate tax payer.

Should you require any further information relating to Gift Aid, please consult the HMRC guide.

Musuem Exhibition Tickets - with Gift Aid

When purchasing tickets for exhibitions in our museums, there will be an option to buy Gift Aid tickets. Gift Aid tickets include a 10% donation above the standard ticket price.

Adding this donation allows Glasgow Life, as registered charity,  to apply to the government for an extra 25% on top of the Gift Aid ticket price. This will cost the ticket buyer nothing beyond the price of the Gift Aid ticket itself.

In order for us to claim gift aid we require a few details from you when you purchase your tickets, this ususally only takes a few minutes.

Gift Aid tickets are only appropriate if the ticket purchaser is a UK taxpayer. More information can be found on the HM Revenue & Customs website.
