Children's Programme Assistant

​Volunteers will assist and support the delivery of children’s play activities. They will get the opportunity to deliver a range of activities including; Games, Sports, Arts, Crafts and themed activities around local events and festivals. The activities provide a great opportunity to work with young people in a relaxed recreational setting focused on the enjoyment and needs of the participants.
To support their role volunteers will be given access any delivery specific training that is available through Glasgow Life and its’ partners.

  • Skills/attributes/experience No qualifications necessary. Volunteers should be patient and enthusiastic and express a strong desire to help young people achieve. Volunteers should also be reliable and able to think on their feet.
  • Time requirement (number of hours per day/week) 2 hours per week.
  • Defined Hours Wednesday 4.45-6.45pm
  • Additional information Opportunity lasts from May 2014-May 2015 Training opps include: Child Protection, Playwork Principles, Games & Arts Delivery, Relevant industry related training. Venue is wheelchair accessible.Travel expenses will be paid monthly.
