Community Day Club Support Volunteers (Disabilities)

To support participants in various tasks including;  arts and crafts, physical activity, sports based activities, film shows, photography work shops and other scheduled tasks. You will be part of a team who will provide help and guidance for individuals who are less able. Also helping to develop and create opportunities for people with various disabilities, we aim to create a friendly and welcoming community club for all.
A brief induction  will be provided by the development team prior to start date. There is also an opportunity to attend Glasgow Life Disability Training.  
Monthly travel expenses can be reimbursed, as can lunch for those volunteering for more than 4 hours per day.

  • Number of volunteers required 2 volunteers are required for both sessions on each day
  • Skills/attributes/experience Motivated and highly enthusiastic person with some experience in supporting people with additional needs.
  • Time requirement (number of hours per day/week) Minimum 3 hours (1 session) per week
  • Defined Hours Volunteers will start at 9.30am and finish at 3.30pm if they work all day and volunteers who volunteer half day will either do 9.30am-12.30pm or 12.30pm-3.30pm

  • Application process Apply Online or By Post Volunteers will need to undergo an enhanced disclosure check through the PVG Scheme. We support volunteers to complete the required form and we cover all costs incurred.
