​This is an opportunity to work with young people aged 14 – 25 to lead, guide, inspire and encourage young people, agree their programme choices and support their progress, enabling them to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award.  You might want to help young people with: developing skills, encouraging greater physical fitness and healthy lifestyles, going on an adventurous expedition as part of a team. As a volunteer you will benefit by getting full training and support, enhancing your CV, boosting your confidence and self esteem, developing new skills and having fun!

  • Skills/attributes/experience Do you have skills that you can pass on to young people? Do you have a keen interest and experience in working with young people, good communications skills and have a sense of fun?
  • Time requirement (number of hours per day/week) MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS COMMITMENT
  • Defined Hours THURSDAY 5.30PM – 8.00PM
  • Additional information Training will given in a range subjects. Outdoor equipment can be borrowed. This includes waterproofs & walking boots. A t-shirt & badge will also be provided. Travel & out of pocket expenses are available. You will be supported by a Mentor.
