Duke of Edinburgh Volunteer
Type of Opportunity
This is an opportunity to work with young people aged 14 – 25 to lead, guide, inspire and encourage young people, agree their programme choices and support their progress, enabling them to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award. You might want to help young people with: developing skills, encouraging greater physical fitness and healthy lifestyles, going on an adventurous expedition as part of a team. As a volunteer you will benefit by getting full training and support, enhancing your CV, boosting your confidence and self esteem, developing new skills and having fun!

Number of volunteers required
Do you have skills that you can pass on to young people? Do you have a keen interest and experience in working with young people, good communications skills and have a sense of fun?
Time requirement (number of hours per day/week)
MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS COMMITMENT
THURSDAY 5.30PM – 8.00PM
Training will given in a range subjects. Outdoor equipment can be borrowed. This includes waterproofs & walking boots. A t-shirt & badge will also be provided. Travel & out of pocket expenses are available. You will be supported by a Mentor.
