Wales v Cayman Islands

Wales make it three in a row with a 94-10 win over the Cayman Islands.

"For the girls it was all about the performance" said Wales U21 Head Coach, Laura Williams, "and making sure we stuck to our basics."

They worked the ball well around the court, and combining that with their shooter movements, had no problem creating the opportunities they needed to score.

The Welsh shooters were on top form too, with Chloe James netting the highest accuracy of the game at 96%.

But for the Cayman Islands it was all about getting through that game and moving on.

"Wales are looking sharp. We were expecting them to be sharp. It was a matter for us to get some score on the board, because we've got more important games to come for us."

Yet Wales still have their hardest challenge to come. They face Jamaica as their final group game tomorrow to decide who wins the pool.

Welsh vice captain Cathy Bastian is confident in her team's ability. "It's going to be a tough one but we're ready for it."
