Samoa v Bermuda

PHYSICAL GAME GOES SAMOA'S WAY

Samoa pulled off a 60-40 victory against Bermuda in a physical game from both sides.

With equal height matches throughout the court there weren't any easy ways for the teams to get past each other, resulting in highly contested possession. However, it was shooting the at both ends that let them down. In Bermuda's case it was particularly detrimental with a 69% accuracy average, dropping to as low as 56% at times.

Yet Bermuda made a last ditch attempt in the third quarter, winning it 15-11, but it wasn't enough and they had to settle for a loss.

Samoa now face home side Scotland in the bid for a 12th to 9th place. Having faced each other already in the group stages Samoa came off the better side winning 54-31, and Samoan captain Analina Tone is keen on repeating that.

"Were going to focus on what we did well against them during the rounds and try and fix what wasn't so effective."

Head coach Patricia Wilcox added "We'll bring everything we've got."
