Glasgow Young Scot Glasgow Kidz Card

It's time to play!

Did you know that we have a whole department for Play.

Play Services make sure that everyone between 5 and 12 years of age gets the chance to have fun and makes time for play. 

Play Sessions are lead by specially trained Playworkers and usually last for up to two hours.  During the sessions children have the opportunity to choose what they do and this can be a mix of games, sports, arts & crafts.  The emphasis is always on having fun!  Sessions take place in local communities, indoors and outdoors and are suitable for children of primary school age.

CRANHILL BEACON PLAY CENTRE

Kids love Cranhill Beacon, a play centre dedicated to 5 – 12 year olds, where there’s oodles to do, and all the fun is absolutely FREE. Play indoors, in our large games hall, children’s library, soft play area, and arts and crafts room. Play outdoors too, in a safe area with outdoor facilities and tons of space to run around in. We run activities three evenings every week, and our programme regularly changes. Cranhill Beacon also offers birthday parties on Thursday 4.30pm-6.30pm and Saturdays and Sundays.  Please contact the centre for packages and prices.

LINN PARK ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND

Linn Park Adventure Playground is a play facility dedicated to children aged 5 – 12 years with additional needs. It specialises in providing exciting and adventurous play opportunities in a safe environment. Outdoor facilities include a cradle swing, wheelchair roundabout and the Smoky Mountain Trail. Indoor facilities include a soft play area, arts and crafts materials, and a unique sensory room.  Staff lead a variety of activity sessions, which change regularly.
